The event started off with a performance of wind orchestra, followed by an address from President Ochi, a chorus of the University Song, music performances of songs associate with soccer. Following the opening ceremony, Mr. Takeshi Okada, a former National Football Team coach, delivered a lecture entitled “Team Management - A Challenge from Imabari.” He told the audience, “It’s important to have courage to step forward to your goals and dreams.”

Around the main area there were food and product fairs by partner cities and towns. Queues were forming here and there.

Along with the Homecoming Day events, Time Capsule Ceremony was held at the campus.
