Hiroshima University holds Open Campus 2022

Hiroshima University (HU) held its Open Campus 2022 on August 18 and 19 at the Higashi-Hiroshima, Kasumi, and Higashi-Senda campuses. The event was held on-site for the first time in three years.

HU's 12 schools offered a variety of programs, and faculty members and current students conveyed the charms of the university. In the President's Keynote Lecture held in the Satake Memorial Hall, HU President Mitsuo Ochi introduced the history and latest research of the university.

"Hiroshima University offers a variety of opportunities, so I hope new students will take on the challenge," said President Ochi.

Due to COVID-19, individuals were required to register for the event in advance. Nevertheless, the participating high school students and prospective students were seen coming and going from the campus livening up the university.

Although JR and other public transportation services were disrupted on the morning of the first day, approximately 4,800 people attended the event. We sincerely appreciate your visit.
