Division of Laboratory Medicine

In March 2015, the Division of Laboratory Medicine obtained ISO15189 accreditation (Medical Laboratories—Requirements for Quality and Competence) established by the International Organization for Standardization, and all the staff have been engaged in efforts to provide more accurate laboratory data and acquire techniques.

  • The operation of the division mainly consists of sample tests (blood/general tests, chemoimmunological tests), microorganism tests, and physiological tests (including electrocardiography, ultrasonography, respiratory function tests, and electroencephalography). The division also takes charge of the management and operation of Central Blood Collection, the control of test information, and the maintenance and inspection of testing equipment outside the Clinical Laboratory Center.
  • The division is open for sample tests and microorganism tests 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Test results are ready in less than one hour after blood collection in the case of an emergency test or testing before consultation.
  • Staff devote themselves to quality control and the provision of accurate testing data every day.
