The Hemophilia Treatment Center offers multi-occupational, specialized and comprehensive treatment of hemophilia and related bleeding disorders. Our center has been designated as a block base hospital for hemophilia care in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions by the Japanese Society of Thrombosis & Hemostasis in this disease, and provides advice to patients, education and consultation to clinical staff of the regions. We try to improve the treatment level of the bleeding disorders including hemophilia in the regions, and aim to improve the patients’ QOL in cooperation between hospitals and also cooperation between hospitals and clinics. Routine clinical practice of outpatients is performed by staff of the Departments of Pediatrics and Hematology. Furthermore, as we routinely assess the issues of hemophilic arthropathy and the dental conditions of patients in a day, we offer comprehensive outpatient service in summer every year. We have also been preparing a system to respond to demand for genetic tests and consultation.
