Hiroshima University respects and defends the human rights and individuality of each person

December 10 is Human Rights Day. (Japan designates the week ending on December 10 each year as “Human Rights Week.”)

Hiroshima University established on December 27, 2021, the Hiroshima University Charter and the Hiroshima University Code of Conduct which stipulate human rights as follows:

  1. Respect for human rights
    In all its activities, Hiroshima University will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind in relation to ethnicity, nationality, religion, belief, gender, economic or social status, or disability, and will respect and protect the human rights and individuality of each person.

  1. Respect for human rights and diversity
